    The Toronto Maple Leafs have officially promoted Hayley Wickenheiser, Ryan Hardy and Darryl Metcalf to assistant general manager. The team also hired Curtis Sanford as a goaltending coach. Wickenhieser is a four-time Olympic gold medalist with the Canadian women’s hockey team. 

    She joined the Leafs as an assistant director of player development in 2018 and was promoted to senior director of the department last year. As of Tuesday, she will continue on as the assistant general manager of player development.

    Hardy is serving as assistant GM of minor league operation as he was hired last year as senior director of the department. Metcalf was promoted to AGM of Toronto’s hockey research and development department in his ninth season with the Leafs.
