    As storm Laura strengthens into a hurricane that weather forecasters say could land with deadly winds and flooding, thousands of people were told to evacuate the Louisiana and Texas coasts on Tuesday. Forecasters say more than 11 feet of the storm could submerge entire towns; ocean water could rush into the land along a 450 mile-long stretch of coast from Texas to Mississippi. 

    Hurricane warnings will be issued as the storm gets closer.
