The Japanese billionaire along with his producer and Russian cosmonaut safely landed on the Earth Monday morning. The group of three spent 12 days aboard the International Space Station. The billionaire and fashion tycoon, Yusaku Maezawa and his two crew members softly landed in a Russian Soyuz capsule in the steppes of Kazakhstan.

Low clouds at the time prevented the deployment of search-and-rescue helicopters to the area. This resulted in the rescue teams using all-terrain vehicles to reach the landing site. The trio was reportedly feeling fine. Later in the day, they will travel to a facility outside of Moscow for post-flight checks and rehabilitation.

Maezawa, 46, and his producer, 36 were the first-self paying tourists to visit the I.S.S since 2009. The Russian cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin was carrying out his third space mission. Maezawa spoke to the press after the trip and said “once you are in space, you realize how much it is worth by having this amazing experience.”
