Lewis Hamilton can clinch his 100th win in this Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix. He will be racing on the great Micheal Shumacher’s favourite track where he won the first of his 91 victories. Hamilton is 36 years old and has achieved 78 out of his 99 victories with Merceded since leaving McLaren back in 2013.

Hamilton commented on his switch saying “When I decided to leave McLaren and join this team, I truly believed we would experience great success… But of course, I could never have imagined the success we would have had.” Hamilton still holds the record for nine straight podia finished for a driver’s debut season back in 2007.

The racecar driver has won every title since 2014 except for 2016 when his teammate Nico Rosberg took the title. He believes his success stems from his continued work ethic and fitness drive. Hamilton said “I don’t think it’s the winning that’s the addictive part. Maybe when you’re younger that’s the thing you’re chasing all the time.”
