    Doctor Warns a Lockdown is Inevitable in Ontario

    According to a disease expert, a lockdown is inevitable for Ontario as new COVID-19 cases reach an all-time high.

    On Wednesday, Dr. Abdu Sharkawy, infectious disease expert, said Ontario is now “uncharted territory” when it comes to the pandemic.

    Ontario’s 7 day average for new COVID-19 cases continues to grow and is now at 1,216 from 971 last week. 

    “I think it’s inevitable that some form of a lockdown is probably going to come our way,” Sharkawy said. “The question is now how long will it be?”
