    The Toronto Fallout Report by the Toronto Foundation shows how the pandemic intensified pre-existing inequalities.

    According to the report, Lower-income Torontonians bear a substantial burden during the pandemic; it also says that Black, Latin American, Arab, Middle Eastern, and West Asian Torontonians have COVID-19 infection rates 7 times higher than white residents. 

    The executive director of the North York Women’s Shelter said that the pandemic did not create this inequality, but it magnified it into sight.
