    Moderna Asks Permission to Allow Use of COVID-19 Vaccine

    On Monday, Moderna Inc. said it would ask the U.S. and European regulators to allow the emergency use of its COVID-19 vaccine.

    New studies show that the shots offer strong protection against the virus, as the nation has seen more than 160,000 new cases per day and 1,400 daily deaths.

    Moderna, Pfizer, and BioNTech are seeking to start vaccinations in the U.S in early December.
