    New Brunswick and Nova Scotia have been selected to host the World Junior Ice Hockey Championship in 2023. The international event will take place at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax and Avenir Centre in Moncton from December 26, 2022 to January 5, 2023. 

    Tim Houston, the Nova Scotia Premier siad “we are ready to roll out the welcome mat for the teams, their families and visiting fans, and I’ll be in the arena with thousands of Nova Scotians, cheering at each and every game,” 

    New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs said “this world event will showcase our province and our region, and we will provide an unforgettable experience for both New Brunswickers and those visiting,” President and CEO of Hockey Canada said the region won the bid because it;s ready ahead of other cities.
