NASAs solar dynamic observatory commemorates its 10 year mark of operations by releasing an incredible time-lapse of the sun. The solar dynamic observatory was created back in February 2010 for researchers to study the solar atmosphere on the sun’s impact on earth. The sun is captured every single day with a collection of 425 million images.
The video captures a 61-minutes of transitions of the sun. There are instances where the SDO captures dark frames by the eclipse or by the earth, according to news outlets.
