Public health experts are concerned that the restrictions placed in the hardest-hit areas are set too high after the province announced its new colour coded COVID-19 guidelines.
The new system goes live on November 7, and Peel, York, Ottawa, and Eastern Ontario are classified in the orange or “restricted” category.
The new orange category allows businesses that had been previously closed or restricted under Stage 2 will have those limits lifted.
