    According to Statistics Canada, the economy added 246,000 jobs in August compared to 419,000 jobs added in July. The number of full-time workers rose by 206,000 while part-time workers increased by 40,000. 

    Full-time employment is now six per cent away from pre coronavirus pandemic levels and 3.9 per cent in part-time work.
