The new Roomba uses AI technology to avoid substances that would smear all over your house. Back in 2014, Chantelle Darby awoke to feces smeared all over her house as her Roomba robot vacuum was set to run in the middle of the night. At the same time the Roomba was operating, one of the lady’s three dogs, a foster named MacGregor pooped in the house.

Darby explained that day on Thursday and said “I remember walking into my office and it looked like a murder scene, but with poop.” The Roomba actually left a smear of crop circles in her office because it ran over a power cord and kept going in circles. After attempting to clean it Darby and her husband decided to just throw out a rug and power cords.

The couple ended up buying another Roomba but decided to use it during the day. Unfortunately, MacGregor who was now adopted from the couple had another accident and the Roomba spread it across the house again. On Thursday, IRobot, the company that makes Roomba, said it is trying to eliminate this incident with the use of artificial intelligence.
