Traditional takeout containers generate a lot of waste and, since the pandemic started, there is a higher demand for takeout. As this creates a problem, many startup businesses have taken the initiative to create a solution.

The solution involves replacing regular takeout containers with reusable ones. Some of the startups include A Friendlier Company, Suppli, Ekko, and Reusables.com. They are already serving customers and restaurants across Canada.

The reusable container will be stainless steel unless the restaurant is being supplied by A Friendlier Company. Their company uses polypropylene plastic containers that are lighter, stackable, and lower in price.
