    Despite the layoffs of thousands of employees and an expected loss of $200 million caused by the coronavirus shutdown, the executives at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation will still receive bonuses this year. 

    On Wednesday, a first-quarter report was released, where it shows the expected revenue from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has decreased to $600 million from $809 million. 

    Since the start of the pandemic, Ontario’s casino sector has had significant financial losses due to its shutdown since March 17. Although some places have started to reopen as part of Stage 3, about 15,000 people are still out of a job.
