    The city of Ontario is set to release a “comprehensive fall preparedness plan” to prepare a strategy to deal with the surge of new coronavirus cases. 

    The plan would help with funding for hospital capacity, and it includes the most significant flu vaccination campaign in Ontario’s history. 

    Ontario Liberal Leader Del Duca said that the plan would include expanded sick leave for workers, personal protective equipment for residents, patients, and workers in long-term care homes and hospitals, and no wait time to get COVID-19 testing. 

    The party also wants a private bill for “non-essential, inter-provincial travel restrictions,” placing a protective bubble around Ontario.
