Ontario just announced they will speed up appointments for second doses and will let more people book their shots starting Monday. Effective on June 7 at 8 a.m., anyone 70 and over, and individuals who received Pfizer or Moderna on or before April 18 can book their second shot. They would have to use the provincial system and book the appointment at a mass immunization clinic.

The original plan was to increase eligibility to 70 and over on June 14 but instead happened one week earlier. Additionally, on June 4, people who received the AstraZeneca vaccine and are willing to get a different mRNA vaccine can book an appointment at a pharmacy.

According to the government, around 327 pharmacies in Toronto, Windsor-Essex, Kingston, Frontenac, and Lennox & Addington are offering AstraZeneca vaccines. And nearly 450 other pharmacies are offering the Moderna vaccine.
