    Ontario decided to extend the reduced electricity rates that were going to expire on January 28.

    The Ford government decided to extend the off-peak rate of 8.5 cents per kilowatt-hour until February 9.

    The reduced electricity rates came into effect at the beginning of the year and were initially set for 28 days, but it now adds 12 additional days with the extension.
