    On Monday, health officials in Ontario are reporting 326 new infections of COVID-19 signifying a slight decrease from the previous days. There were 370 new cases logged on Sunday, and 373 were logged on Saturday. Currently, there are 167 patients being treated for COVID-19 in Ontario hospitals and 36 of the patients were fully vaccinated.

    The seven-day rolling average dropped to 372 today as it was at 416 at this point last week. The Ministry of Health says the positivity rate is at 1.6 per cent as it processed over 18,397 tests in the last 24-hour period. Out of the total cases reported today, 231 of them were in individuals who are either not fully vaccinated, partially vaccinated, or have an unknown vaccination status.

    The province released its vaccine passport on September 22, making non-essential service available to those who are fully vaccinated. There were 39 new cases in Toronto, 33 cases in Peel Region, and 31 cases in York Region. According to the province, all other regions reported fewer than 30 cases.
