    More than 2,200 long-term care residents have died from COVID-19 in Ontario since the beginning of the pandemic.

    Nearly two-thirds of COVID-19 related deaths come from long-term care homes. 

    The virus has caused a total of 400 outbreaks in 626 long term facilities in the Province. 

    During the first and second wave of the pandemic, long-term care homes have been a part of Ontario’s hardest-hit areas.
