    Now that many of Ontario’s regions are in Stage 3 of reopening, a trend that has not been seen in months has developed in the last couple of days. There are more new Covid-19 cases found outside the GTA than inside. Most new cases are coming from the Windsor-Essex and Ottawa areas.

    Previously the virus was reported mainly in people over 60, but new cases found in the last couple of weeks have been found predominantly in people under 40. A professor at the University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health, Susan Bondy, said: “We are seeing that the new spikes are taking place in people who are the least risk-averse and more likely to congregate, to break the rules and congregate in group settings.”
