    On Wednesday, Ontario reported 1,417 new cases of COVID-19 and 32 deaths, which is the highest death toll since June 19. 

    The number of active infections went down for the first time in several weeks, supported by an increase in recoveries.

    Health Minister Christine Elliott said, “Locally, there are 463 new cases in Peel, 410 in Toronto, and 178 in York Region.”
