On Friday, Ontario reported a small decline in its daily count of new COVID-19 cases, but the 7-day average continues to climb.
Ontario health officials reported 1,355 new cases, which is lower than the record 1,575 new cases previously recorded.
Additionally, 19 more deaths related to COVID-19 were reported, which is the highest single-day death toll reported since the beginning of the second wave of the pandemic.
