    Ontario’s First COVID-19 Field Hospital Opens for Patients

    As COVID-19 infections strain the health care system, Ontario’s first field hospital built during the pandemic is taking its first patients this week. 

    As of Monday, the Burlington facility, which was built on Joseph Brant Hospital’s grounds, was ready to start treating patients. 

    The hospital responds to an increase in hospital capacity across southern Ontario, including Niagara, Burlington, Hamilton, and Haldimand County.
