    Although 111 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, parts of the province are ready to move into stage three of reopening the economy this Friday.

    In the meantime, Premier Doug Ford is celebrating a new deal with the federal government that will provide $7 billion for Ontario. A total of $19 billion will go to provinces to help fund the restart of the economy in Canada. 

    This deal comes after several days of discussion between the provinces, territories, and federal liberal government. Ford, who gave thanks to Toronto Mayor John Tory, shared, “Canada’s premiers stood shoulder to shoulder” in negotiating the “great deal.”
