    According to Quebec Police, 15 people who attended a party ignoring COVID-19 rules during the weekend will receive $1,000 fines. 

    On Saturday, after receiving several complaints, the police arrived at the party around 10 p.m. 

    Steeve Charland, the party host, said that the police visit was a courtesy call and did not try to break up the party; instead, four officers took down his identification and the license plate numbers of the cars parked outside. 

    According to the police officers, the visit was not a courtesy call.
