The Peloton TR02 Treadmill has been issued for a recall by Health Canada, the U.S. Product Safety Commission, and Peloton Interactive Inc. There were 83 incident reports of the touchscreen console detaching from the treadmill.
5,513 units of the treadmill model were sold in Canada before Health Canada posted “the screws attaching the touchscreen console to the treadmill can come loose, causing it to detach and fall, posing a risk of injury.”
Out of the 83 incidents reported only three recorded minor injuries to the user. The faulty products were sold in Canada between February and March 2021. Customers will get a full refund if they contact Peloton.
