    Ontario’s premier Doug Ford has called an emergency meeting with health officials to talk about the surge in hospitalizations due to the coronavirus.

    According to Ford, the meeting held with the Province’s health minister, hospital leaders, and the chief medical officer will help break the trend. 

    So far, a total of 919 people are hospitalized in Ontario due to COVID-19, including 263 under intensive care and 172 on ventilators.
