    On Friday, Ontario quietly announced that 140 pharmacies would become pop-up clinics for the weekend. They would provide COVID-19 vaccines to adults in certain hot spot locations. The province said people just had to provide proof of their age and not proof of residency in the hot spot. 

    As a result, lineups grew outside many of these pharmacies the past Saturday and Sunday. GTA residents only knew of the locations through social media or word-of-mouth so, people rushed and searched to get their first doses. 

    Dr. Andrew Boozary said, using social media as the only source of communication poses an equality issue. He goes on to explain that “we’re losing a lot of people who aren’t on social media.
