A restaurant located in Toronto is asking for unvaccinated customers to choose to sit outdoors. The Oakwood Hardware Food & Drink on 337 Oakwood Avenue in York posted the announcement Sunday on Instagram.

The statement the restaurant released said, “With the volatility of the weather and our limited capacity to have diners indoors, we ask respectfully that if you are not vaccinated, that you choose outdoor dining when available.”

The business noted that all their employees are fully vaccinated and their decision is not meant to cause debates on vaccines. The owner of the restaurant blames the decision on Doug Ford’s opposition to the idea of vaccine passports. However, the Ontario COVID-19 Science Advisory Table has a potential vaccination certification program that could help reopen high-risk settings on a short-term basis.
