    Mayor John Tory announced that additional restrictions could be placed on the retail sector as concerns arise about crowd scenes during the holidays. 

    Tory said that new restrictions at stores and in malls are something that the city, in consultation with provincial counterparts, is “taking a hard look at”.

    Stores and malls are still permitted to operate in red zones under the Provinces framework for COVID-19 restrictions, although the plan doesn’t limit capacity during the winter holidays season.
