    On Tuesday, The Royal Bank of Canada, one of the WE Charity’s most prominent supporters, said it’s ending its long term partnership with the WE organization, after “reassessing” its ties to the charity. 

    Virgin Atlantic Airways, KPMG Canada LLP, and Telus Corp. are some other major sponsors and donors that have moved away from WE Charity. Some of them, permanently stopping all payments to the organization. 

    A statement released by the bank said, “After reviewing our partnership, RBC and WE Charity have reached a mutual agreement to end all sponsorship and donation programming. Enabling youth remains a key priority for RBC in our commitment to helping communities prosper. We continue to focus on opportunities that help youth develop skills, gain work experience, and more easily access mental well-being services through our broad programming and RBC-created resources.”
