    A plan created by the York Region District School Board has parents concerned that their teenagers won’t spend enough time face to face with teachers. 

    Shameela Shakeel formed a Facebook group, Families for Safe Schools in York Region, to help parents talk about their concerns with schools reopening during the Covid-19 pandemic. 

    Shakeel said parents were extremely shocked when the plan was announced, teenagers will spend about 25 percent of their time with face to face classes. Still, she estimates the teenagers will only see their teachers about 9 times during a semester
