On Thursday, new rules will go into effect for short term rentals in the city.
The City of Toronto launched a new online registration system for rental operators who rent out their homes for fewer than 28 days.
With the new bylaws coming into effect, people will no longer be able to rent out their primary residence on short term rental sites.
Those who would like to rent out their primary residence must now register their short term rental with the city.
