According to Environment Canada, showers and some thunderstorms will continue from Monday night into Tuesday afternoon for Toronto and other regions. The weather agency also issued a special weather statement as there is a chance of “significant rainfall.”

The city could see close to 25 to 50 millimeters of rainfall, and local areas could see more if thunderstorms move in. Environment Canada said the rain is expected to end Tuesday afternoon as  a cold front moves in.
