The Toronto District School Board is worried that there won’t be enough qualified French teachers to teach students this fall if class sizes are dramatically reduced. Due to the ongoing Pandemic, the school boards are constructing different plans of action to ensure safety, one option being to reduce class sizes to 15 students per room. The school board is working on “creative ways” to ensure French class and French immersion stay in the curriculum.

According to The Toronto District School Board, while on the hunt for fully certified teachers, the board will also consider occasional teachers that are qualified to teach French.
