University student Jayden Daniel has created a walking tour app called “Walking App” which allows Torontonians to explore their neighborhoods’ history, architecture, and culture.

Having a hard time finding work during the pandemic, Daniel was inspired to apply himself by creating a walking app that could help spread a sense of community while raising money for those in need. The Walking App presents users with images of their surroundings as they follow the tour route while Daniels narrates.

Daniel has already added three tours to the app and is currently working on his fourth. The three available tours uploaded on his app are located in upper Forest Hill, Cedarvale, and Humewood.

News sources report that all proceeds will be donated to the North York Harvest Food Bank.
