    According the federal weather agency, Monday and Tuesday could see temperatures above 30 C. Environment Canada said in this year’s “first heat event,: hot and humid weather is expected to surround Toronto. The agency issued a special weather statement today for Southwestern Ontario for the steamy conditions. 

    There will be a small dip Monday overnight to mid to upper teens and then the hot weather will be back Tuesday. On Tuesday, temperatures are supposed to reach a max of low thirties, with a minimum temperature hovering around the low twenties. 

    The environment agency said cooler air will arrive on Wednesday. The weather conditions can pose health risks for older adults, infants, young children and people with chronic illnesses. Residents are being advised to drink plenty of water and dress to keep cool for the weather.
