    Trudeau Announces that Holiday Gatherings Are at Risk

    As the daily count of new COVID-19 cases keeps rising, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canadians need to take action if they want to gather for holiday celebrations.

    Trudeau also said he informed provincial governments that Ottawa is there to “encourage them to make those difficult decisions to shut things down now, so things don’t get too bad in the coming months.”

    On Friday, Trudeau also announced that “we still have a shot at Christmas if we act now.”
