On Thursday, U.S. President Donald Trump ordered a ban on dealings with the owners of TikTok and WeChat although, it is unclear if he can ban the app in the United States.
The executive orders of each app will take effect in 45 days. The wording of the orders is vague, but some experts say it looks like the intentions are to remove the app from the Apple and Google app stores, which would effectively remove them from distribution in the U.S.
