A couple from New Jersey bit into something worth more than the bill while dining at a restaurant. Last Sunday, Micheal Spressler ordered his usual order of appetizers but it came with an exciting surprise. After eating 11 of the dozen clams he ordered, he found a pearl in the last clam he ate.
Spressler explained “I was down to the 12th one and when I picked it up on the fork it looked kinda heavy, but I didn’t think nothing of it,… Then when I started to eat it I noticed something was in my mouth. I actually thought one of my tooth broke.”
Micheal’s wife, Maria Spressler said “It’s like a once in a lifetime event… He’s eaten dozens and dozens of clams and we’ve never found anything like that so it was pretty exciting.” Not only did this couple experience a rare event, but they were also celebrating their 34-year anniversary of dining at that restaurant. Micheal Spressler said “Yeah, we first came here Presidents’ Day weekend in 1987,”
