CVS the United States pharmacy chain is supporting Joe Biden’s effort to get 70 per cent of Americans vaccinated before independence day. So, they are promising customers prizes from tropical cruises to Superbowl LVI tickets if they get shots. CVS has over 9,600 pharmacies across the U.S and they are adding to the list of incentives as they are already states and companies giving out prizes.
A lot of these companies and states are desperate to get vaccination rates up and get American life back to some normality. Earlier in May, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine offered baseball tickets and beer on top of a $1 million prize draw for individuals with at least one vaccine shot. New York has a program called “Vax & Scratch” which hands out free lottery tickets to adults receiving their first dose this week.
CVS will run their rewards from June 1 and also include prizes like feature gift cars from consumer goods like Procter & Gamble, dating app Hinge, and Norwegian Cruise Line. The Unites States population is more than half fully vaccinated but the pace of vaccinations has slowed drastically.
