    In the hope that some institutional changes within the administration happen, students at the University of Toronto are opening up about their mental health struggles.

    Maddie Diab, a recent graduate, said, “The mental health situation was a problem on campus before the pandemic began, and will still be a problem after the pandemic unless institutional changes are made.”

    The university’s media relations office said that student mental health remains a priority as the school is experiencing a surge in demand for mental health support services.
