On Tuesday, Walmart Inc. unveiled a new membership program called Walmart Plus, which gives subscribers unlimited free delivery, no checkout lines, and discounts on fuel. Walmart’s new program will have a cost of $98 a year or $12.95 a month, and it will be available to U.S. customers on September 15, becoming a rival to Amazon’s Prime subscription.

The new service is meant to attract new customers and turn current customers into loyal shoppers.
